Office Specialty began in 1888 with a simple idea: make workspaces more efficient through better design. From our earliest days crafting steel filing cabinets to our modern-day modular systems, we’ve stayed focused on solving real workplace challenges with precision, durability, and a touch of design-minded thinking.

In 2023, two industry veterans brought the brand back to life—restoring its heritage while building for what’s next. With roots in both Office Specialty and Inscape, they’ve relaunched the brand with purpose: to offer modern storage and systems that flex with how we work today.

We’re proud to manufacture in the United States and serve both the federal market and contract dealers with the same clarity, consistency, and commitment to quality.

Steve is a driving force behind the revival of Office Specialty. With nearly two decades of experience tied to the Inscape product line, he holds a deep respect for the craftsmanship, quality, and the people behind the product.

 

His passion for giving second chances to great design, to overlooked manufacturing capabilities, and to loyal customers fuels this brand’s new chapter.

RYAN HAY

Vice President of Federal Sales

Ryan is leading the charge in bringing Office Specialty back to life in the federal space—reviving an iconic brand and reintroducing a product line the industry still remembers, and still needs.

With over 15 years of experience in contract furniture, Ryan’s career has been rooted entirely in federal and public sector sales. He’s held key roles at Inscape and Nightingale, including a pivotal year revamping Inscape’s government program. That time gave him a deeper understanding of the product—and a firsthand look at the pride and purpose behind it.

For Ryan, this isn’t just about relaunching a product. It’s about bringing back something special. This is a chance to revive an iconic brand in our industry and honor the legacy of a company built on quality, purpose, and staying power.
